We bought this stroller in preparation for a 2-week trip to Tahoe with family and friends, realizing we'd need something sturdier/hardier if we wanted to take our son out on anything unpaved (and also realizing there would probably be other trips to hiking/snow in our near future-- btw we got the brown/blue model). We debated for a while on how much to spend, but in the end settled for a BOB Revolution stroller. I was still somewhat ambivalent about spending so much on a stroller, until I got it home and took our son (17months) out on a test walk. It was love at first stroll!! lol
Everything about this stroller feels so SOLID and secure. The brake is easy to manage, and feels rock-solid. The wheels are great, and make it roll soooo easily it's amazing. It's "big" compared to other strollers, but surprisingly light (I think under 25lbs?) and it is incredibly easy to push-- easier than our "lightweight" Maclaren stroller! It hardly feels like I'm pushing anything at all when I'm pushing this stroller. And it is REALLY easy to maneuver with the front swivel wheel-- I can be holding a cup in one hand and steer with the other, and my steering hand never gets tired (as opposed to with our first stroller).
I've read complaints about the seat on the Bobs, and it is a bit "flimsy" if you're comparing it to standard strollers. But if you look at other jogging/all-terrain strollers, many of them have a simple hammock-style seat. Part of the reason this stroller is so light is because it doesn't have a heavily structured seat. Our son does seem to slouch slighty when sitting in the stroller, but he's always done that to some extent no matter what stroller he's sitting in, and it doesn't seem to bother him one bit. If you're worried about this, you might want to "test out" how your kid likes the stroller by going to, say, REI and strolling your kid around the store a few times in one of their display models to see how they like it.
I love how the large wheels handle going over curbs and uneven sidewalks. But we've also taken it out on trails, grass, etc, and it's handled fabulously each time. It feels so tough that I'm betting it will last a LONG time (we're thinking when it's time to have kid #2 we'll buy the infant seat attachment and keep on using this baby). I am so, so glad we decided to splurge on this stroller. It's so worth the money!
